Newsletter Term 2 Week 8 2022
"We acknowledge and respect the traditional custodians on whose land our school rests. Their footsteps and whispers blow in the wind, drift on the clouds, remain deep in the sandstone and float on the waterways of this place. Their memories and Dreaming stories will continue to connect us to the land and guide future generations of our school community. Country is alive if you take the time to look, listen and learn."
Deputy Principal's message
Welcome to Week 8! We hope you all enjoyed the long weekend and it offered the opportunity to connect with family and friends and recharge as we head towards the end of the school term.
This is an incredibly busy time for our teachers as they write and edit your child’s Semester One School Reports, which will be sent home in Week 10. With the return to a normal school structure, you will notice that these reports also return to a familiar format, with student achievement being reported to the state-wide syllabus standards using an A-E scale.
Our teachers make professional judgments about their student’s progress, based on assessment data and observation. We are committed to ensuring our reports are transparent, accurate and informative and our teachers will ensure they communicate with you if there is any aspect of your child’s academic, social or emotional development that they are concerned they may need further support with.
Please ensure you have updated your email address with the school administration team if it has recently changed as our reports will be distributed digitally.

Sport
Well done, Toby for making the State Hockey Team!
One goal, one opportunity! The team was called and guess whose name was last? Mine! The PSSA State hockey team! This was my big goal, having missed out in 2021 by a few people. This was a big opportunity. This was one of my favourite tournaments as we placed 6th. My friend and I ended up making the state team and we are going to Canberra in August. The games were tough and well fought, with a mixture of wins and losses. It taught me a lot for the future - a future full of hockey and sport!
